NEW – Nikon Coolpix P7700

Nikon have just announced the new addition in their enthusiast Coolpix range, the P7700. With a world class lens on board and body features that are sure to please, we’re sure this is going to be a camera loved by many.

A 28-200mm lens with a maximum aperture of f/2-4 makes the P7700 a whole f stop brighter than it’s predeccessor, the P7100.

The 12.2 Megapixel back-lit CMOS sensor allows the light coming through the lens to reach the Photodiode layer directly resulting in superior picture quality. Utilising the performance from the back-lit CMOS sensor, image quality is impressively improved making shooting in low light situatuions highly enjoyable and easy to conquer.

The Nikon Coolpix P7700 gathers 4 consecutive shots from the one press of the shutter button and combines them to give you absolute brilliance. It dicescts the good from the bad and gives you an image that is far superior to what you would normally receive on a compact style camera.

As you could imagine with the ability to take consecutive photos, the P7700 also offers to option to HDR for those who love the detauil in which HDR produces. As seen below HDR mode takes 3 consecutive shots using different exposures and combines them giving you wide tonality range and details that you would normally have missed with a single shot, single exposure. Highlights are enhanced as are shadows, the P7700 really does get it right.

As you can see from the image below, Nikon really haven’t limited anything on the options side of things with the P7700. It’s versatile, customisable and the buttons and dials are all in positions which will make your photography experience comfortable.

Manual movie mode is also a highlight of the P7700. Shoot Full 1080p HD Movie Recording with movie customisation like Aperture Priority and Custom Movie Mode. It’s also capable of Intelligent Autofocus while recording in all modes as well as optical zoom with low noise in auto mode. Movie recording is also backed up by a built-in stereo microphone, an external microphone input and a HDMI mini connector and HDME-CEC support.

So for all of those photography enthusiasts who are looking for a DSLR companion that caters to less intrusive events, head into your local Camera House Store mid September and let our friendly staff show you the new Nikon Coolpix P7700.
