Photo Friday – AUTUMN – Annette Blattman
‘Photo Friday’ is a weekly photography competition that Camera House Australia runs. Every week we choose a new theme and prize, and this week the winner was Annette Blattman who entered a purely majestic image for the theme: AUTUMN.
We asked Annette a few questions about her image, and this is what she had to say:
Q.What inspired this photo?
A. The light & mist.
Q.What camera did you use?
A. Canon 5DmkII
Q. What setting did you use?
A. f 7.1 ISO 2000 1/100 shutter speed
Q.Did you edit this image, if so what did you do and with what program?
A. I used Photoshop to edit this picture. Levels and curves were adjusted as well as clarity. The white balance was changed to cloudy to add more warmth, I then sharpened it and used noise reduction software.
Q. Do you have any advice for our community photographers?
A. Perseverance would be my biggest tip. It was rainy and cold when we left at some ungodly hour to travel to this destination. But just after sunrise the rain stopped and the light was just beautiful. Just go with what you are given and hopefully something worthwhile will eventuate.
