Photo Friday – FATHER’S DAY – Helen Flint
‘Photo Friday’ is a weekly photography competition that Camera House Australia runs. Every week we choose a new theme and prize, and this week the winner was Helen Flint who entered this adorable image for the theme: FATHER’S DAY.
We asked Helen a few questions about her image, and this is what she had to say:
Q.What inspired this photo?
A. The physical presence that my partner brings to fatherhood is something that my children thrive on. He can throw them up in the air for hours at a time while they laugh hysterically. He gets tired, but he loves them so much that he can’t say no.
Q.What camera did you use?
A. Canon EOS 1200D with a 50mm 1.8 lens.
Q. What setting did you use?
A. 1/800 sec. F4.5. ISO100
Q.Did you edit this image, if so what did you do and with what program?
A. I did edit it and I used Photoshop. I can’t remember exactly what I did but I usually desaturate the colour and up the contrast.
Q. Do you have any advice for our community photographers?
A. My advice to other photographers is to just keep taking photographs. I nearly always have my camera around my neck. At the supermarket, at the park. You just never know when you’re going to see the perfect shot.
