Photo Friday ‘Envy’ Winner – Victoria
What camera did you use? I used a Canon EOS 1000D
What inspired this shot? The inspiration for this particular shot was my fascination with bokeh – I love that macro can show you things that you wouldn’t normally be able to see with average eyesight, and this was my opportunity to demonstrate that. Bokeh is something that can change an average photo into something really amazing, and can give a whole other feel to what is essentially just a photograph of an eye. I love macro and a I also love portraiture, and in this way I was able to combine the two loves and produce what I hoped to be a great photograph (I hope!)
Did you edit this image, if so what did you do and with what program? I did not edit this image.
Do you have any advice for our community of photographers? It’s hard for me to give advice, as I’ve only been taking photos properly for three years now, but the best thing I’ve learnt from others is to experiment! The best way to figure things out or to work out how things work is to just go for it, take a look and to try it out. It’s the way I’ve learnt, combined with seeking advice from experienced photographers and listening to how others produce their amazing work.
Where was this photo taken? This photo was taken just outside my home in Wollongong, and is of my sister Kimberley.
