Photo Friday Open Entry Winner – Ney!
What camera did you use? Canon EOS 5D MII w/ 50mm 1.4 lens
What settings did you use? ISO 1250 (as shooting from above didn’t allow much light in and this is natural light) Believe my aperture was around 1.8.
What inspired this shot? I wanted to come up with something different to the norm and advertised for twins due to be able to capture some ideas. This one in particular had it composition chosen to show the bond and relationship between twins.
Did you edit this image, if so what did you do and with what program? I used Lightroom 4 and Photoshop Cs6 , I subtle noise, sharpened features, corrected colours on babies as one was red and one was jaundice using both curves and hue saturation cropped to square composition and added to background to achieve this, added a soft light adjustment and darkened edges to draw you into centre of image.
Do you have any advice for our community of photographers? When working with people always go into a session or shoot with a clear idea with what you want to achieve, when you can imagine how you want the ending photograph to look you have a much better chance at getting the ‘wow’ shot then winging it on the day 🙂
Where was this photo taken? This photo was taken in the newborn twins home as they were only 7 days old at time of session, all natural light from their lounge room was used to light the image.
