Photo Friday ‘R’ Winner Tristan
What camera did you use?
I used my old Nikon D5000 because I wanted to use my 10.5mm fisheye lens to enable myself to capture all of the movement of the ride.
What settings did you use?
Obviously the fisheye has a fixed focal length of 10.5mm with a shutter speed of 1/200 at f/8.0 with an ISO of 200
What inspired this shot?
When you see photos taken of ferris wheels and roller coasters and rides like those by really good photographers, I wanted something like that to come out from the photograph which I think I have captured.
Did you edit this image, if so what did you do and with what program?
Adobe Lightroom 4
Do you have any advice for our community of photographers?
It bugs me when people say they need new equipment so that they can get a greater result, yes this is true, but it doesn’t really matter what equipment you have, it’s all about how you can use the camera and it’s settings to best suit the environment. So in saying this, practice in different environments and get to know your camera and what it can do. Think about the framing of the photo and how you would like it to turn out so think about angles, lighting, subjects etc. Be creative… sometimes the best photographs are the simple ones
Where was this photo taken?
