Photo Friday Spring Winner Nic
What camera did you use? I use a Pentax K5 and this photograph was taken with my 77mm limited lens.
What settings did you use? It was shot in the early evening at Umina beach at f2.4 at 350s at ISO 80.
What inspired this shot? The inspiration came from memories of doing this myself as a child, by the beach.
Did you edit this image, if so what did you do and with what program? In post processing I used Light room 3.6, I used the clone tool to tidy up a strand of hair, the brightening brush to lighten her face a tad, as she was facing away from the setting sun and I used some global adjustments as well such as adjusting curves, saturation and warming the overall image. I wanted to give it a nostalgic dreamy feel, almost like a memory, which is also why I shot at such a shallow aperture.
Do you have any advice for our community of photographers? The best advice I can give to others is to think about what you want to say with your images. My favourite images tend to capture my imagination and make me think, wonder and even dream.
