What inspired this shot? I am quite familiar with this place as I have to pass by every day to reach to school. From theme of “symmetry”, I saw and recognized the potential of this place where contains most of strongly symmetric elements.
Did you edit this image, if so what did you do and with what program? I used Photoshop CS5 to edit this image. I intended to convert this image into B&W photo and used Contrast/Brightness/Curves to enhance its sharpness
Do you have any advice for our community of photographers? Based on my experience, photographer should play an actual role in the scene rather than taking a photo as usual. You need to get close to the subject as much you can that will make your picture more valuable. Following the rule of thirds, your picture will be more interesting. Finally, understanding lighting will enhance the appearance of everything on your photos.
Where was this photo taken? I took this photo at The Royal Arcade at Bourke St Mall, Melbourne.
