Photo Friday Warmth Winner – Francois
What camera did you use? I used a Nikon D7000, (Love it) with a Sigma 10-20mm lens (Love it!), wide open at 10mm and f/4, and focus set to Infinity.
What settings did you use? Exposure time was just short of a minute so I still get the stars sharp, ISO nice and high at 3200!
Did you edit this image, if so what did you do and with what program? I did a bit of tinkering in Lightroom to change to colour temperature to a nice cold blue, and that’s about it really, slight exposure adjustments. For the inside of the tent I used a good old fashioned candle (not a headlamp or LED light -gives off a blue hue) to create that nice warm glow inside the tent
Do you have any advice for our community of photographers? We have such a beautiful world, I encourage everyone to pick up a camera, get off the couch, and get out there!! And enjoy it; your passion will be evident in your work.
Where was this photo taken? It was taken around midnight at Osmeridium Beach. (A few days walk on the South Coast Track, Southwest Tasmania). I love capturing the “unseen”.
