Nikon’s D90 delivers a DSLR that not only delivers stunning image clarity but is able to shoot High Definition movies as well. Suitable for the enthusiast that is making the move to DSLR or a Nikon user wanting a more feature filled camera, the D90 delivers a versatile camera with brilliant colour, great image clarity and intuitive system controls.
Building on the success of the popular D80, the D90 serves up a 12.3 megapixel CMOS sensor combined with Nikon’s EXPEED image processing system to deliver outstanding images with fine details, smooth tones, brilliant colors and low noise across a broad ISO range.
Images can be easily framed via the Live View Mode on the large 3-inch 920,000-dot high-res LCD screen. The 11-point auto focus (AF) system utilises Nikon's exclusive Scene Recognition System and Face Detection to help make the best shot in a variety of environments.
D90 offers fast handling with a power-up time of a mere 0.15ms and split-second shutter response measuring just 65ms, eliminating the frustration of pictures lost to shutter lag.
Good: The first Nikon pro shooter to offer HD video recording. Intelligent Scene Recognition interprets colour and brightness to suit the situation.
Bad: No real cons – this is a great camera for the serious camera enthusiast
