Looking for a quality lens for portrait shots? The 100mm f2.0 lens features a large aperture and compact size making it ideal to tote around with you and the USM auto focuses the lens easily and quietly.
Ideal for portrait and low light work it delivers a little bit of extra telephoto power for capturing candid shots.
The first lens group moves for rear focusing. And sharp, crisp pictures are obtained at all apertures.
Like Canon’s 85mm lens, it’s super-sharp (even wide open), and has fast USM autofocus along with fulltime manual focusing.
Focal length and maximum aperture: 100 mm 1:2
Lens construction: 8 elements in 6 groups
Diagonal angle of view: 24°
Focus adjustment: Rear focusing system with USM
Closest focusing distance: 0.9m / 3ft
Filter size: 58mm
Good: Compact, lightweight lens that is great for lowlight or close up head shots. Fast autofocus and fulltime manual focus available.
Bad: : I can’t fault this lens – good value for money, reliable and easy to use – a great addition to any kit.
