Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Lens
to take into store

Weighing in at just 130g this is Canon’s most compact and lightest standard lens.
Just because it’s small though, doesn’t mean it is lacking in features.
With a fast f/1.8 aperture, it is a great lens for the photo enthusiast who prefers a fixed focal range across the length of the lens.
Featuring a Gausse type optical design the EF 50mm f1.8 II provides sharp performance and great colour balance. It can focus as close as 45cm, making it quite a versatile standard lens.

What your buying (unless you own a 5D) is an 80mm, just keep that in mind if your wondering why your images are so tight.Quality is very good, as expected from primes but it has canons typical warm glass look. It's T-stop (if it had one) is probably around 2.4 which is more or less no mans land as far as focus goes. F-stops shouldn't be a selling point. It has a focus ring the size of my finger nail. Not joking. It is made of plastic and I have heard the glass is of high quality plexi-glass but considering the price tag and it's nick name 'the nifty fifty'.Good lens. Good buy.
