In regard to the optical design, the lens offers One aspherical lens element, as well as the incorporation of SLD glass, which helps to reduce the appearance of distortions and aberrations throughout the zoom range and deliver clear imagery with improved sharpness. The use of Thermally Composite Material (TSC) reduces size and weight but increases the accuracy of the lens construction.
