Photo Friday ‘Water’ Winner – Elyssa
What camera did you use? Nikon D7000
What settings did you use? 105mm, 1/250sec, f/16, ISO200
What inspired this shot? The 100th anniversary of the Titanic. With seeing the advertisement on tv of its 100th anniversary, it got me thinking of ways to portray such a powerful event into an image.
Did you edit this image, if so what did you do and with what program? Photoshop – turned the image B&W, slightly increased the sharpness and increased the contrast between the black and white to create a powerful shot.
Do you have any advice for our community of photographers? Be patient and never give up. This shot took ages to get the right timing, the constant dipping and rising of the hand in cold water as evidenced by the wrinkling of my cousin’s fingers. But in the end, all the hard work will pay off 🙂
Where was this photo taken? At home
