Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens - Nikon offers great optical performance and a remarkable build. The optical design features four Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations for enhanced clarity and colour accuracy throughout the zoom range. Offering a Super Multi-Layer Coating, this feature has been applied to lens elements in order to reduce lens flare and ghost effects and contribute to producing contrast-rich and colour-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions. This lens also features a rounded nine-blade diaphragm that contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.
Integrated Hyper Sonic Motor
It realizes quick and quiet autofocusing, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to achieve smoother focusing performance. The Hyper Sonic Motor allows full-time manual focus control by rotating the focus ring at any moment.
Specialized Electromagnetic Aperture Mechanism
It delivers greater exposure control stability that is especially beneficial when working with fast continuous shooting rates.
A brass bayonet affords enhanced mounting accuracy and rigidity. Rubber sealing is incorporated in the mount design to render it dust- and splash-resistant. Constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material for greater precision and use in wide temperature variations.
