Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Art Series Lens - Nikon offers great optical performance. The optical design features three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements that markedly reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing throughout the zoom range for enhanced clarity and colour accuracy. The four aspherical elements control spherical aberrations and distortion for improved sharpness and accurate rendering. Offering a Super Multi-Layer Coating, this feature has been applied to lens elements in order to minimise lens flare and ghost effects and contribute to producing contrast-rich and colour-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions. This lens also features a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture that is well-suited for working in available lighting situations and delivers greater control over depth of field when using shallow depth of field techniques. The Integrated Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) realizes quick and quiet autofocus, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to achieve smoother focusing performance. The Hyper Sonic Motor allows full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring.
