Established in 1983 by a group of independent photographic retailers, Camera House is now over 30 years old. Those founding members laid the foundation for what has become the largest speciality photographic retail chain in Australia with 54 stores geographically spread throughout the country.
Widely recognised by the strong blue, yellow and white signage, many people would know that there is a Camera House store just around the corner from them. We have over 500 experienced and qualified staff of smiling, photographic enthusiasts working in each store. These same staff members will listen to your needs and match the latest and greatest photographic cameras, accessories printing and more. Camera House stock all the leading brands like Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Nikon, Olympus and more.
Each store is individually owned and operated and has shares in the brand that is Camera House nationally. This provides a unique experience at a local level with the people who own the store run the store so you receive a personal experience every time.
Camera House is the only photographic marketing group with its own warehouse, which stocks over 1,800 lines. These include a wide range of accessories, films, paper, chemicals, frames, albums and batteries. Plus, many exclusive imports including compact cameras, lenses, binoculars, telescopes, video processors, gadget bags, tripods, flashguns ... plus much more.
Our stores are equipped with the latest developing equipment including the digital printing kiosks. Many stores also offer 1-hour processing. We use only the best paper and chemicals around to ensure that your prints look fantastic time and time again.

Camera House began in 1983 when a group of passionate independent camera retailers joined together with a shared vision: to provide Australians with expert photography advice, the latest imaging technology and outstanding customer service. Over four decades later, that vision remains unchanged.
As photography has evolved from film to digital, mirrorless cameras, drones, content creation and professional video production, Camera House has continued to evolve alongside it.
