It features an impressive 13-stop dynamic range, providing your production with detailed shots and better colour reproduction. Its body is made with lightweight carbon fibre-reinforced polycarbonate composite. It is designed with a huge seven-inch touchscreen LCD, an integrated stereo microphone, a built-in mono speaker. This camera supports a 3.5mm headphone jack audio output, an HDMI 2.0 for video output, and a 3.5mm Stereo Input for analogue audio input. It has also two USB Type‑C 3.1 Gen 1 for external recording and control. Moreover, it has two 1/4-inch tripod mount and a 3/8-inch tripod mount for mounting options. It enables iris, focus, and zoom control on supported lenses.

This studio camera features a large seven-inch touchscreen LCD with 1920 x 1200 resolution, allowing operators to frame shots easily. It has also a screen brightness of 600 nits for comfortable viewing. This touchscreen LCD also features an accessible menu for easy adjustment.

The Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K Plus allows users to be in control of their shots, thanks to its buttons and knobs. Apart from the touchscreen LCD, this camera provides ease of adjustment with its knobs on the right side for brightness adjustment, focus peaking, and adjustment of contrast. It has also customisable buttons for easy access to functions such as zebra, LUTs and false colour.
