AI Autofocus with Ten-Subject Detection
At the heart of the Z5IIC is Nikon’s EXPEED 7 image-processing engine, driving an AI-powered autofocus system with 273 focus points. Subject detection recognises ten subject types: people, dogs, cats, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trains, aeroplanes and fish. The camera locks on to what you’re pointing at and holds focus, even in light (as low as -10 EV). From a child running across the park to a bird lifting off the water, your subject stays sharp so you can concentrate on the moment.

Up to 7.5 Stops of Stabilisation
Five-axis in-body Vibration Reduction delivers up to 7.5 stops of stabilisation, making handheld shooting at slow shutter speeds effortless. Capture sharp shots in dim cafés and street scenes at dusk, or record steady video without a gimbal. Combined with the 24.5MP back-illuminated full-frame sensor and a standard ISO range of 100 to 64,000, clean and detailed images come easily when the light drops away.

Speed When It Matters
The Z5IIc shoots at 14 frames per second, with an extended burst of 30 frames per second when you need to nail the decisive frame. An electronic shutter speed of up to 1/8000s freezes fast action and lets you shoot wide open in bright sunlight. It’s more than enough performance for sport, wildlife and energetic kids.

Video Without the Compromise
Record 4K UHD video at up to 60p (with a crop) and Full HD at 120p for smooth slow motion, with a choice of N-RAW, H.265 and H.264 formats. For those who like to grade their footage, N-Log 10-bit 4:2:0 recording preserves latitude in the highlights and shadows. Microphone and headphone connections, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 and an HDMI-D port complete a video toolkit that punches well above its class.

Imaging Recipes and Film Grain
Imaging Recipes let you dial in a signature look straight out of camera, while a dedicated film grain effect adds character that would otherwise take time in post-production. Your images look the way you want them to from the moment you press the shutter.

Composing is a pleasure on the 3.2-inch, vari-angle monitor, which flips out for vlogging, low angles and overhead shots. A single SD UHS-II card slot keeps things simple, and a battery rating of around 350 shots per charge via the monitor means the Z5IIC is ready for a full day out.
