The PEN Returns
Since the first PEN film camera of 1959, the name has stood for compact, everyday photography, and the OM SYSTEM PEN is the first to carry it into the OM SYSTEM era. Its slim rangefinder-style body keeps the straight lines the series is known for, with gently curved surfaces that sit securely in the hand. A built-in electronic viewfinder brings back the pleasure of composing with the camera to your eye while you set aperture and shutter speed. Available in black or silver, on its own or in a kit with the new M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 III lens, the PEN is made for travel, city streets and the moments in between.

Sensor and Processing
At its heart is a 20.4 megapixel Live MOS sensor paired with the TruePic IX image processor, the same combination trusted across the OM SYSTEM range. Together they deliver detailed, natural images with rich colour, while a Supersonic Wave Filter keeps dust off the sensor so your files stay clean on dusty tracks and windy beaches. The PEN conforms to the Micro Four Thirds standard, so it works with the full M.Zuiko Digital lens line-up, from compact primes to weather-sealed PRO zooms.
Stabilisation and Viewfinder
In-body 5-axis image stabilisation works with every mountable Micro Four Thirds lens, giving up to 5.5 EV stops of compensation at the centre of the frame and up to 4.5 stops at the edges. That means sharp handheld shots in low light, steadier video and the freedom to leave the tripod at home. The 2.36 million dot electronic viewfinder shows exposure, profile effects and depth of field before you press the shutter, and the rear monitor takes over when you want to shoot from the hip or above a crowd.
Built to Take Anywhere
The PEN is the first camera in the series with a dustproof design and IPX1-rated splashproof performance, with sealing at key points throughout the body. A passing shower or a splash on the harbour is no reason to pack the camera away. Compact and light enough to carry all day, it is designed to be the camera you take everywhere, refined for those who explore more and carry less.
Film-Style Colour and Monochrome Profiles
The Profile Control switch on the front of the camera gives one-press access to presets inspired by colour and black-and-white film. Colour Profile Control adjusts the saturation of 12 individual colours across 11 levels, with Film Rich Colour, Film Vivid, Film Soft Tone and Standard presets. Monochrome Profile Control combines colour filter, highlight and shadow, shading, film grain and tone effects, with Film B&W, Film IR, Film Low Contrast and Standard presets. Every effect can be previewed in the viewfinder as you shoot, and profiles can be applied to video too.
