Apart from adding weather-resistance property, compared with its predecessor FUJINON XF56mmF1.2 R, Fujifilm has reduced the MOD from 70cm to 50cm and increased number of elements from 11 to 13. Moreover, this lens has an increased number of diaphragm blades from seven to 11, creating an almost perfect circle on the aperture diaphragm, which results in beautiful bokeh effect. Despite being a fast prime lens, it only weighs about 445 grams. This lens provides an enhanced resolving capability, creating better image quality and making it perfect for portrait photography and beyond.
