Introducing the 29th native Z series lens, the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S is the longest focal length in the Z series lineup. Utilizing Phase Fresnel technology, it's significantly lighter than its predecessor, allowing for superior portability, to capture sports, action, or wildlife.

Lightweight Design

Thanks to the adoption of a Phase Fresnel lens, the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S is approximately 46% lighter than the DSLR F-Mount equivalent. Not only lighter but NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S is also physically smaller in comparison, which enhances portability. The center of gravity is positioned closer to the camera body, allowing for exceptional handling and tracking of subjects.

Great Optics

The NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S lens features Nikon’s renowned Nano Chrystal Coating, which actively combats flare and ghosting heavily back-lit situations. The combination of ED Glass and a Short Wave Refractive lens elements work together to provide accurate compensation for chromatic aberrations, resulting in sharp image reproduction.

Weather Resistant Build

Featuring extensive weather sealing across all moving parts and the lens mount, the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S prevents dust and moisture from entering the lens. The front element also utilizes Nikon’s Fluorine coating which repels dust, water, and oil whilst keeping the lens very easy to clean.

Works with both Z Teleconverters

The NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 is compatible with both NIKKOR Z Teleconverters allowing you to increase the focal length to 1120mm and 1600mm respectively. The lens also has 4 customizable function buttons, a customizable control ring, along with a focus limiter, focus recall function, and a 46mm drop-in filter system.

Extreme Expansion

With the introduction of the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S lens, the NIKKOR Z lens lineup now has 29 native Z lenses available. Ranging from 14mm all the way up to 800mm and including two teleconverters for extra reach, the NIKKOR Z range will continue to expand to a total of 35 lenses by the end of 2023.
