The Sony 85mm f/1.4 GM lens is a fast, short telephoto lens designed for its E-Mount mirrorless cameras. The optical design incorporates three extra-low dispersion elements as well as one extreme aspherical element, to enhance image sharpness and clarity.

In addition to the f/1.4 aperture, bokeh is enhances by an 11-blade circular diaphragm, which produces a smooth, soft-edged bokeh. The Super Sonic wave Motor is also quick and quiet to provide excellent autofocus, while the construction of the lens is dust and moisture sealed.
