Passport and visa photos

Passport and visa photos

No appointment needed, walk-ins welcome! Compliant passport, visa and ID photos for Australia and overseas, printed or digital.

Need passport photos near you? Walk in to Camera House and our team will take compliant passport, visa and ID photos for Australia or any other country, check them with you, then print them or send you a digital copy.

Passport photos without the hassle

Let's face it, no one enjoys getting a new passport photo. There are lots of rules to get right, and a rejected photo can hold up your travel plans. That's where we come in.

Our team knows the passport photo requirements inside out. We'll ask what the photo is for, check the size, background and format for that country or document, and take your photo with proper lighting against the right backdrop. You'll see the photo before it's printed, so you can be sure you're happy with it. It usually takes just a few minutes, and the photo will look like you, not a mugshot.

Simply walk in during store hours and we'll look after you on the spot. Most passport photos are ready in a few minutes. At busy times there may be a short wait, so allow a little extra time if you're in a hurry. For babies and young children, we recommend coming in at least 30 minutes before closing.

Baby passport photos

Babies and children need passport photos too, and we know they don't always sit still. Baby passport photo requirements are a little more relaxed, and our team is patient and used to getting the shot. A few tips to make it easier.

  • Come in when your baby is fed and rested
  • Dress them in plain clothing, with no hats or dummies
  • Their eyes should be open and looking at the camera, with no hands or toys in the photo
  • Allow a little extra time, and come in at least 30 minutes before closing

Baby and child passport photos are available at most stores, so please check with your local store before you visit.
